On October 15th, The NYS Bowling committee opened sealed bids to consider the site for the NYS Championships for 2019 through 2021. Section 3 presented a bid to host the event at AMF Strike-N-Spare in 2019 and 2020. We declined to bid on 2021 due to the fact we’re already hosting the event in the current 2017-2018 season.
One other section (Section 2) submitted a bid, After reviewing the bids, it was determined that the Section 2 venue failed to meet the minimum standards to host the event. The State bowling committee subsequently voted to recommend to the NYSPHSAA Executive Committee to accept the bid from Section 3. Therefore, Strike-N-Spare will be the host site for the event in 2019 and 2020.
