Meanwhile, the RFA girls also led wire-to-wire, in a much tighter contest but prevailed to defend their Division 1 Title, and Class A championship. RFA started out strong with 961-952 opening games, but Fulton was close behind and only trailed by 10 pins heading into Games 4-6. RFA pulled away down the stretch to defend their title. RFA was led by Sadie Falcone (1168) and MaryKate Weyant (1157). Fulton finished 2nd in Division 1, but claimed the Class B Championship.
In the Class C/D Division, Adirondack prevailed, edging out Sherbourne by a mere 46 pins.
]]>The Section 1 boys led the boys tournament after 3 games, but had to rally to win the title in game 6 after surrendering the lead to Section 5 after game #5. Section #1 rolled games of 1097 1092 1179 and 1056, Section 1 was clinging to a narrow lead, but after a 1009 in game 5, they fell behind Section 5 Rochester. In its final game of the day, the bested Section 5 1050 – 975, to regain the lead and and win the title by 49 pins. The team was led by Nick Perron 1378, Tommy Chamberlin 1362, Jacob Portem 1235, Nick Varano 1218, Paul Cirillo 1188, and Sean Eybers 1150.

]]>For the ladies, America Carhart from ESM rolled a 1341 series with games of 202, 257, 190, 235, 220, and 237. She will make her 2nd straight trip to the State Finals as she was a member of the 2018 Division #1 and Class A Champion ESM Girls team. Placing 2nd was Kaitlynn Conte from Utica-Proctor who rolled a 1323 series. Both Carhart and Conte led the next closest competitor by well over 100 pins.

The Section 3 Bowling Shootout will now start at 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 14th (Valentines Day) at King Pin Lanes in Rome. Athletes should report with their coach for Check in and lane assignments starting at 2:00 pm Reminder, Athletes must be accompanied by a school approved coach or chaperone to be eligible to participate.
